I couldnt wait to colour this image with my GraphIts...Im REALLY playing around with my colours and techniques a lot at the minute, trying to emulate the Distress Ink look with my markers because I just KNOW it can be done. Also GraphIts have such vibrant tones it can be easy to leave the paler softer tones behind sometimes so Im on a mission to go pastel at the moment and help you to choose and blend those really soft, pale looks we all love, so if you need help with this just shout and myself and the team will try our best!.... I wanted to give her a bit of a distressed grungey look and get a transparent wispy effect with the dress...I messed the face up a litle (that point where its one stroke too far and it was right between the eyes) so I had to darken it right up further than I normally would....I used 4125, 4150, 3210 for the face, a tiny bit Pink Grey 3 around the darkest bits with 4145 for cheeks, then just 6110 and 5115 for the dress with blender. To get this really pale colour I used 5115 on its own with a brush nib, then lots of blender brush over the top. Then repeat on the lower layer of her dress the same way with 6110 to give it that transparent look. Hair uses 3210, 3230, 3245, 3250 (maybe a darker one too I cant remember now) and a little 9403 for extra shadows. The background is 7105 and 7109 blended out. I finally added white dots with my GraphIt Shake white pen. The thing I find trickiest is leaving so much white space to achieve the pastels!
