I created The AF Project to help gym owners grow their businesses, - TopicsExpress

I created The AF Project to help gym owners grow their businesses, not for the sake of growth, but for the sake of the revolution. We need success, we need each other, and we need solid, no-bullsh*t business education. We need it now. After nearly a decade of coaching, managing, growing, speaking, writing, CrossFitting, and benefitting from my membership in this community, I believe I have a responsibility to share anything that might help. This is me seizing that opportunity. Heres a fact set: There are a lot of passionate coaches running new facilities, long on enthusiasm and short on experience. Theyre all over the globe. They deserve every chance to succeed, just like those who came before them, and they deserve the opportunity to develop, free from the expectation that theyll be stellar performers on day one. At the same time, they should be mentored and nurtured, given real tools and support, brought into the fold rather than pushed from it, trained by the vanguard they follow, made excellent at the fastest pace possible. They should be welcomed. In the same vein, we need to recognize that early adoption does not equate to monopoly rights. It used to be easy to be the most successful gym in any given town, as you were the ONLY gym in any given town. Now, its not. There are more gyms, and seldom do they cooperate. They fight on price, on reputation, hardly ever employing the tools that actually matter in business: gaining mindshare, turning prospects into clients, employing leading-edge digital marketing, engaging the outside community, becoming better coaches, building brands, cooperating. Its time we all learned. Together. Its time to use the best and brightest among us to train the rest, to push this revolution to the next level. Its time to take market share not from each other, but from the fitness dinosaurs that populate every corner, chasing low rates and absentee memberships. Its time for the AF Project. Come to the free seminars. Read the articles, watch the videos, and make yourself better. Simultaneously, reach out to fellow Affiliates and start a dialogue around making everyone better. Stop trying to kill each other, stop trying to get a bigger split of a smaller pie, focus on getting the whole town/city/borough/village doing CrossFit. If you do, then we all win.
