I cried profusely over the Emancipation holiday (holyday) and lamented the fact that her music is being played and exploited all over the village and not once did I hear mention of her name. I spoke on 9.1. Talk City radio at the vigil at All Stars Pan Yard the night before the holiday and I dedicated the Emancipation Celebrations to Queen Iya Ella Andall. Walking into the village on Emancipation Day tears flowing down my face when I heard BRING DOWN DE POWER blasting from a music truck. I didnt walk ten steps when who did I bump into? Queen Ella herself, in the flesh! I was overcome with joy!! I could see that shes been through an ordeal, but shes calm and collective. Thanks and praise for our Queen of Conscious Kaiso, SIS. ELLA ANDALL! Thank you Amaala Scott for your on-point comments.
