I cried today... Today I had the honour of meeting a lady, I - TopicsExpress

I cried today... Today I had the honour of meeting a lady, I didnt ask her name, it doesnt matter... What matters is that she has so much courage and will to live! She has cancer, brain cancer. She has had 4 out of 5 tumors removed so far. They have left her blind in her right eye, but she sees everything, maybe not as well as she would like, but she sees... Two years ago the doctors said she would never walk again, today she took her first walk in public and although not sure footed, she proved them wrong, she walked... Her hair has just started growing back after all the chemo therapy she has been through, her face lit up when she told me about it, I could feel the pride radiating from her. Tears were filling my eyes as she spoke to me, luckily I have tinted lenses in my glasses. In the short time she was at my stall, we spoke about the health benefits of herbs and spices and she learnt some things from me but what I learnt from her was far more important than herbs and spices, it was about life and having the courage to live it to the fullest. After almost a year of being diagnosed, I will be starting my treatment in the next couple of weeks, but my situation is far smaller than this ladys. But she has given me the courage to never stop fighting my cancer. To the lady whose name I do not know, I salute you for your courage, zest for life and will power to carry on, even when you were at your lowest! Thank you for sharing your story with me today.
