I crossed something off my bucket list yesterday, that wasnt even on it! I killed a snake!! OMG! Im terrified of them! Tried to get it off my mind, but guess what woke me up at 5:15 this morning??? Ugh! Tammy Terral, Dana, & I put tents up in front of the store yesterday, for the Shrimp Fest., and sat out there all day, & were loading everything back into the store at closing time, when Tammy started running, cussing, & yelling. A snake was by our chairs, where wed been sitting(!) He was crawling by her purse, I ran over to the mini golf place next door, begged a man to come kill it, he saidMam, Im from North Ga., & Im more afraid of snakes than you are!- he obviously doesnt know me! Since Dana & Tammy had deserted me, I had to find something, only weapon I had was the weight on my tent. So Im chasing this snake, trying to kill it with a piece of sand filled PVC pipe, the rope attached to it rubbed against my ankle, I thought it was the snake, so now Im squealing & doing a crazy dance, trying to hit the snake! ( its hard to hit a slithering snake with a heavy pipe, wearing flip flops, and doing interpretive dance!!) I finally did it, squealing the whole time, THEN the Ga. Man walks over to verify, the snakes dead!( my hero!) ugh!! Now well be safe for the next 4 days under the tents! I get a call right afterwards from my neighbor Chris, ( his office is across the street from my store) wanting to know WHAT I doing in the parking lot!?!? Told him the story, & that i was glad he didnt video it! He said he would have, but he was on the phone at the time. Thank goodness! Everyone keeps asking me what kind of snake it was... I dont know. But now its a dead one! I still have the Hebbie- Jebbies!
