I cut my first real reading teeth on The Hobbit many years ago, - TopicsExpress

I cut my first real reading teeth on The Hobbit many years ago, and in that time came to develop great affection for the character Bilbo Baggins and his cadre of dwarf companions. The first two Hobbit films were somewhat disappointments. Too much CGI, too little of the wit and charm that made J.R.R. Tolkien’s introduction to the world of Middle Earth so appealing. Peter Jackson’s third installment of the tale hits the mark, much like Bard the Bowman’s arrow, making the final Hobbit chapter nearly as enjoyable and awe-inspiring as the Jackson’s earlier Lord of the Rings trilogy.
