I debate nature over nurture when watching Shadow go after - TopicsExpress

I debate nature over nurture when watching Shadow go after birds... I wonder if its instinct or if he was tortured in his previous life in Wyoming by some bird or something.... but, either way, he runs by if it flies, it dies! Tweety birds, hawks, pigeons, whatever! Now, he still doesnt like the shot much, but hes got plenty of season left to work on it. His drive is crazy, so Im sure well get it figured out. I do apologize for the lack of video of him lately.... its tough to run a camera in this cold, and hunt too. I would like more video of him, myself. Im very, very happy with him though... on most things. I will admit the naughty list is kinda substantial... A stuffed lamb toy of aunties and a duck that was Barrys, (Christmas gift from auntie, no less!) were chewed and stuffing pulled out. And, while I was canning apple butter earlier today, I heard a crash in my office. I came out here to investigate and find him standing on my desk and laptop.... just hanging out. Knocked stuff onto the floor, and I have no idea what he was doing up there. Theres no food or anything. Anyway, he wants to play with the sheep so bad, but they dont like it much. I made him sit and stay while I made friends with a couple of the young bunch a little while ago. I believe hell be trustworthy enough around them at lambing time, but he needs to quit trying to play rough with them first. He gets way too excited.
