I decided not to share the story about how kids in fact can - TopicsExpress

I decided not to share the story about how kids in fact can recover from autism that is floating around. #1 While its always nice to hear something we all have said for years (add this to the list of things this crazy moms have been right about), this isnt news. Maybe to those who have been brainwashed by idiot doctors, pharma trolls, and autism orgs that have you convinced there are no answers, no known causes, no treatments, no hope or whatever you prefer to call it...but for most of us this isnt a surprise. #2 Its troll breeding grounds. I cant even imagine the comments but sure the same old gang is there ready to protect their interests and it is pointless debating the facts about recovery because that would mean they would have to admit to how we ended up w autism in the first place. Which they wont. Yeah, no thanks. Im content just knowing others may see there is hope, no need for feeding the trolls. #3 ABA. Now I know this is the go to for autism but frankly I cant tolerate another aba is the best chance, the only way... nonsense. No offense to those who aba has helped (because all these kids are different) but aba didnt save my kiddo. Gasp, in fact I turned it down. Yep recovery without aba. I know shocking. But stories like this wont dare say that because then people will ask what else there is out there. Next thing you know, people will be researching and finding out that there are in fact answers and even solutions that the media, the government, and the doctors have refused to share with them. Aba is fine, and sometimes a huge thing for some...but it isnt the only thing nor the only road to recovery and sometimes it doesnt do a thing. How about articles from all the families that healed their kids and the many things at play instead of cherry picking what you want people to hear. #4 I am surrounded by friends who everyday have these stories. Stories of children written off only to prove the world wrong in so many ways. Everyday is about hope, healing, truth. And some of these families may never see the same recovery, maybe the underlying issues are to much, the damage to great, the research years behind...but they dont give up and they love their kids and thats what we should celebrate. So while i appreciate the success story (ours included), its not enough until we stop the madness, fix the system, and focus on helping all the kids who need it. I want recovery from these epidemics. #5 Mainstream media has been a huge detriment to our community and its gonna take more than a fluff piece or two on recovery to convince me they are out to bring truth to the subject. #6 I am not feeling very kind after hearing real stories today about what families are dealing with. That is all.
