I decided to go off on a text rant, go ahead and tell me what you think. -Luna When we say revolution, it is often interpreted that we wish to raise a militia, and take on the state head on, that we hardly armed proletariat shall march into the centres of power and dismantle the state directly. Of course, such an event would lead to much chaos, and it is thus that this strawman is so useful to the bourgeoisie and the state. What we mean by revolution, quite simply, is a sudden and drastic change in social relations. Revolution is not a means, but an end. To many anarchists, particularly myself, this revolution will take place most directly in the workplace, as the proletariat disrupt the oppressive activities of wage labour by preventing these workplaces from being used in this manner. We shall block the boss from entering, and their rule shall have no meaning. But does this mean that there shall be no violence? Of course not. The bourgeoisie and the state shall always be intolerant of a new way of life, especially one in which their rule, and the memes by which they oppress us, have been dissolved. Liberty shall replace slavery. Equality shall replace poverty, patriarchy and racism. Solidarity, most importantly, shall replace atomisation, alienation and crime. It is for this reason that the police have been militarised and they shall once again be sent to suppress us. Violence will naturally be met with self defence, but we must not be carried away. We must consider how our actions will be interpreted. It is only when the power of the reactionary media has dissolved that we need little worry of the consequences of our self defence.
