I designed a cycle of punisher spells which face the opponent with a difficult choice. Forgive me if I break a character with the flavor—Ive never seen the show. Id like for these to be commons. Do you think theyre simple enough? Tactical High Ground Light Spell, Level 3 Your opponent may have you put the top card of your deck into your shield zone face down as a new shield. If he or she does not, tap up to 2 target enemy creatures. “Which is worse? Your self, vulnerable? Or your foe, protected?” — Master Isao ~~~ Fickle Curiosity Water Spell, Level 2 Your opponent may have you draw 2 cards. If he or she does not, return target enemy creature from the battle zone to your opponent’s hand. “If I can’t study it, can’t master it, then what use is it to me? Begone.” — The Choten ~~~ Elsewhere Withers Darkness Spell, Level 4 Your opponent may choose and discard 2 cards from his or her hand. If he or she does not, each enemy creature gets -2000 power until the end of the turn. (A creature that has power 0 or less is banished.) “Ugh. Do you smell something rotting?” — Allie ~~~ Choice of Explosions Fire Spell, Level 3 Your opponent may have you break one of his or her shields. If he or she does not, banish target enemy creature. “Would you like me to detonate here... or there?” ~~~ Live and Let Smash Nature Spell, Level 4 Your opponent may have you put the top 2 cards of your deck into your mana zone. If he or she does not, choose one of your creatures. It gets +3000 power until the end of the turn and battles target enemy creature. “Impede forest’s growth. Answer to me.” — Shouter
