I did not get up to see the Meteor Shower this morning. However I did go on my regular morning walk and saw one shooting star. It reminded me of when I was growing up and would see shooting stars fairly regularly during our half our drive through the dark countryside on our way home from meetings or activities. Also this morning, when the very narrow crescent moon rose above the horizon and the trees, there was a cloud completely hiding the middle portion of the crescent. It took me a few seconds to process that it really was just the moon and not someting unusual with two narrow lights seperated by some space.
