I did not insult Baba Saraki – Abdulraheem A front-line gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Professor Shuaibu Oba Abdulraheem has denied ever denigrating the late sage, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki, describing media reports to that respect as untrue and the antics of the opposition. In a statement released by the Special Adviser to the politician on Media and Strategy, Mr. Mashood Alaka, a copy of which was emailed to E-kwara.om, Abdulrheem described the report has ‘nothing but tales of distraction cooked by the opposition and those intimidated by prof’s pedigree, to cause bickering between prof, Saraki’s family, particularly true child of the late leader of kwara politics, Distinguish Senator Ruqoyat Saraki.’ “If Baba Saraki (of blessed memory) were to be alive today, just as we knew him to be a man of the masses, he would have supported the voice of kwarans represented today by the likes of Professor Oba Abu and The amiable Senator Ruqoyat Saraki (Ogidi Omo).” “I will like to implore the general public to kindly ignore the unfounded rumour, as at no time and under any circumstance Prof Oba Abu made any negative comment against our great leader, late Dr Olusola Saraki, whose legacy lives on. Ever since Prof Oba declared his ambition, he has been perceived as a threat to the ruling party due to his magnanimity and his acceptance among both the masses and the elites of kwara today.” “Therefore, we would like the general public to keep calm and continue to pray for h success of this revolution in the making to gain freedom for kwarans, from the fake patriots, embodied by Our able and capable choice, the man of the Masses, Professor Suhaib Oba abdulraheem. We wish all kwarans best of luck.”
