I did some gardening the other day. Always, when I dirty my hands in the soil, I think of my daddy. He taught me a lot about growing things. Sometimes I hear his voice, It doesnt hurt the plant when you deadhead it, it helps it. Or, Youll never have healthy tulips unless you find a good way to keep out those chipmunks. There were a hundred other things he taught me, but most of them had nothing to do with planting flowers. He spent most of his life in ministry, planting seeds of another kind. His work is done, but he left me his tools. I never thought Id be using them. But thanks, Daddy...
