Amy Flachbart Carnevale, I ACCEPTED your #ALSICEBUCKETCHALLENGE and I am inspired to do this for a wonderful charitable cause by such good people as Charlie Baker, Karyn Polito, Scott Brown, and the many, many others I have seen complete this challenge! I hereby officially challenge Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson, Special Sheriff Bruce A. Assad, Colonel David Gavigan, Massachusetts Republican Party National Committeeman Ron Kaufman, MassGOP State Committee members Mark Townsend, Rebecca Andre Levesque, and Matthew Sisk. Finally, I challenge former State Senate candidate Chawner Hurd (at an event for whom I first met Governor Paul Cellucci, taken far too early from us all due to ALS). Ladies and gentlemen, you have 24 hours to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge or to make a donation to the ALS charity of your choice. Personally, I would like to strongly encourage you to please consider the UMass ALS Cellucci Fund at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Even if you do complete the ALS #IceBucketChallenge, I hope that you will still help this cause with a contribution. While I am not specifically calling these people out, I do hope that those friends affiliated with Knights of Columbus-Fr. John F. Hogan Council #14236, WBSM 1420 AM, and the Brethren Order of the North East Sea will consider rising to the occasion. You all do excellent work for the community and therefore I look forward to your taking up the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, if you havent yet already!
