I did this yesterday but it is nowhere to be seen so I must have forgotten to post. Anyway, Debbie Christensen Robertson challenged me to list 10 books that have had a lasting impact...entertained, taught me something, changed my way of thinking - and to do the list quickly, from the top of my brain....so here goes The Mapmakers Wife The Crystal Cave (loved the whole series) Treblinka.....painful, haunting The Joy of Cooking, a book given to me so many years ago by a mother in law Deb and I shared and loved Cancer Ward A River Runs Through It (The movie is a pale reflection of the book) The Good Earth A Team of Rivals (My favorite book of all time), A Tree Grows in Brooklyn Omnivores Dilemma Gardening When it Counts Miriams Kitchen Undaunted Courage Forwarding the challenge to 10 folks I think will provide us incredible fodder for our winter reading list: Heidi Hammond, Sara Jansen. JoAnn Armstrong Cheryl Risley Lynn M Stachelrodt Patti Bingaman Dubler Gwennith Angasan Richelle Plummer Michael Livingston and Imogene Gardiner, you are up!
