I didnt have the chance to post a Monday Morning Mystery this morning so here goes! The Mary Celeste was a British merchant ship built in Nova Scotia it 1860. It was discovered abandoned in the Atlantic Ocean on December 5, 1872 with its entire cargo in tact and no signs of the crew. The Mary Celeste was in seaworthy condition and still under sail heading toward the Strait of Gibraltar. She had been at sea for a month and had more than six months worth of food and water on board. Her cargo was virtually untouched and the crews personal belongings including valuables were still in place.
