I didnt realize how single I really am until the holiday season hit. How many family members or friends conveniently brought up my lack of love life over the past weekend? How many youre better off anyways did I hear? To make it clear, Im not being the least bit sarcastic, just 100% honest and thankful. Thank you for reminding me of how alone I may be, because it really got me thinking. So many relationships these days are half assed and packed full of ruthless motives. The dating scene is no longer a dinner and a movie but rather a backseat, on a dark, dirt road. Forget flowers, good mornings or sweet encounters. Lets add up the likes on your latest selfie and for the love of god why are all those girls liking that status. Its bullshit, its half assed and its sad. Coming from a long term relationship into this shitty reality where relationships are more common as a topic on Elite Daily than compared to real life, I mean, it really just hits ya straight in the jugular. Im so thankful to be single this holiday season, and seasons to follow until miraculously something sparks a change in scenery.
