I didnt realize that posting on here to identify a snake would cause so much controversy. Everyone has their own way of handling things and their own opinions. No one BUT myself was in the situation yesterday. So to call someone (myself) un-educated or whatever else has been said about the situation really has no clue to who I am or any idea what happened to make that kind of judgment. As I said in my post- and apparently most did not read through it thoroughly.. I did state that I dont make a HABIT of going around killing things. I know and understand there is a reason for every living thing that has been made by the Creator. I deleted the post this morning due to the immaturity and condemnation of some of the statements that are still being made, as I see in other post from other people. As far as there being other fb groups for identifying snakes. I am not a member of those fb groups and dont care to be a part of them. Because frankly I dont like snakes and dont care to see them. This group I have only been a member a sort while and was my first thought for help. I asked that my post be only for identification not for debate. Surely didnt appreciate the brutality of the hate comments. My intention was not for offending anyone, it was only for the clarification to protect my family, pets and livestock from future sightings. Because usually when there is one baby snake, there are others. Really where I live, there are other bigger things to look out for, like bear, coyotes, fox, wild hog and whatever else lives in the mountains that surround my homestead. I joined this group to learn about small farms, sustainability and homestead living because that is an interest of mine. I do study and try to learn as much as I can. So I am far from unlearned.. I may still be a wanna-be but I can hold my own. I have gardened for many years and have been raising cattle for about a year now. Ok rant is over. Have a nice day!
