Kaplan (1) The Rationalist Judaism people are simply interested in telling the truth about what things are and how they are developed. There is no desire to remove anything from Judaism. Keep everything! Just tell the truth about it! OK? (2) An honest Judaism will not be a Judaism that is sterile or mechanical. If you need the lies in order to keep your Judaism meaningful, well, what is your Judaism worth in the first place? Moreover, if all your fun and satisfaction in Judaism comes from the spiritual events, and not from acts of charity, good works, and walking modestly with the Lord, Id argue that your focus is wrong. Perhaps fix that before kvetching that truth tellers are making things less fun for you
