I dislike it when a blog site with various recipes posts - TopicsExpress

I dislike it when a blog site with various recipes posts instructions and ingredients and says—RIGHT NEXT to the ingredient—You can purchase it here [link] and then there are tons of comments below asking, Where did you get [ingredient name]? Did you even read the recipe, people? I personally believe its important and courteous to review the post or article to make sure your question does or doesnt already have an answer. Doesnt just go for recipe sites. Its possible that the original poster didnt include the information at first and later edited the post, but even so... Some comments are posted long after the revision. Its a small pet peeve, but I think it says something about impatience, a lack of reading comprehension, an unwillingness or inability to pay attention, or the inability to be proactive about finding answers on your own. Theres a lot a quick Google search can accomplish. I can forgive elderly people; maybe theyre not at all tech-savvy or theyre forgetful or something... but younger people, please be mindful! I think a lot of us have the urge to comment before thinking things through. We live in age when we can act and share our thoughts on impulse, for the world to see. We all make stupid mistakes, but in 2014, your mistakes can follow you for ages. You can share them instantly, and only a few minutes pass before theyre viewed by 20 or so people. Im extremely grateful I didnt have unlimited access to the internet when I was really young, because (as a kid would) I had many moments when I thought, Hey, [insert stupid idea that would be pulverized by simple logic]! I gotta tell somebody! but Id have to wait until I saw them at school the next day, for example, and by then my thoughts had sobered up.
