I dismissed out of hand anecdotal posts and gifs on fb promoting cannabis oil treatment for cancer for years. However, after the death of a dear friend, I began to look into the claims. After much research following the onset of cancer in another friend, I was amazed to find that it was a credible claim. Unfortunately, the highly respected medical practitioners in charge of my friends care denied the treatment as it would invalidate him as a potential organ recipient. However contrary the notion is to common sense, the evidence has been in for some time now. We need a serious re-education and strong lobby to overturn both the publics ingrained misconception and the governments prohibition to make this a treatment option for the over 8 million people that die from the disease globally every year. Over 100 studies have shown that Cannabinoids in Cannabis supercharge our immune systems (our immune system itself uses endocannabinoids) and is effective for multiple instances of Cancer, and an expanding list of other ailments.
