I do NOT sign petitions like this. I do not know who receives my information nor what they do with it. Target does not want me to carry within their premises. Fine. Just post that at or on the entrance door with a duly prepared poster in accordance with the CHL statute. In Texas the CHL statute has a specified design for dont carry here posters. It is defined by poster size, by size of print, the wording, the color, etc. IF the qualified poster is not displayed at the entrance, you can carry. If someone other than a certified law enforcement officer asks you if you are carrying, I think you can deny if you wish. An ACADEMY person saw my oversized fanny pack and asked if I was carrying. I did not answer the question. I told him that he felt the need to ask probably served my purposes and intent to ward off a potential threat. He left me alone. The law says if you tell people you are carrying, it can be construed as brandishing which is a form of threat. I generally carry in the fanny pack, and wear an oversized shirt with the shirt tail out and draped over the package. The thing is to carry without being outlandish, obvious, or overt. These guys carrying ARs around are on a power trip. They are not making the case for the 2nd Amendment. They are alarming people which undermines out legitimate purpose and goal.
