I do NOT trust the CDC! I worked closely with the organization for years and my convictions regarding this government entity are grounded in my personal experience. I find it very interesting that the healthcare worker providing care for the Ebola patient now test positive for the disease. If, as the CDC says, the only way to contract the disease is through blood and body fluids, the nurse should have been protected by the personal protective equipment. HIV is transmitted through blood and body fluids. Through the years I have treated countless numbers of HIV positive patients. While treating those patients I was NEVER required to wear the PPE (personal protective equipment) that is required for an Ebola patient. I simply used the universal precautions required for every patient regardless of their HIV status. To this day, I am HIV negative. Additionally, as a TB control nurse for the state of Alabama I treated active TB patients on a daily basis for years. TB is a highly communicable disease and is AIRBORNE !!! Despite repeated exposures to patients with active TB, I have never tested positive.... Im not a smart woman, but I certainly know what a rat smells like and I smell a RAT!!!!
