I do appreciate the moisture that the snow has brought to my roses but now the sun is trying to peek its way back through the clouds and I can hear the Finches singing a little song of appreciation at its reappearance. Their coats of red are getting brighter everyday in anticipation of finding that perfect gal pal to woo and start a new family with. Ive also had a small flock of Red-Winged Blackbirds pass by during the mid-mornings to hang out in the Oak tree thats located in my backyard while grabbing a quick snack of sunflower seeds. A couple of friends were gossiping back and forth to each other high atop my neighbors trees. I like to think that through the music of the Finches and the gossip of the Blackbirds that Sister Spring was softly whispering a message to me from an echoing distance saying that she was on her way as she traveled with the Sun on its meandering journey up towards the North. 😊
