I do cover pool tables in bars... & sometimes I see things that break my heart... im not judging.. I have no right to judge others... but it was early - like about 8:30am one morning... & this couple (man&woman) entered the bar... they looked to be about 30 (ish) but had such long looking sad faces... & after about one hour of drinking... they were leaning a bit on their table with drooping arms reaching out to each other talking how they loved each other & yet insulting each other at the same time... then the lady asked the man to play their song.... They got up ...to dance... holding tight to each other... with their hips balanced up against the pool table I had just covered (lest they fall over)...& they were singing the song loudly & way off key into each others ears.. crying & singing... I watched while I was working on my second table. ... My eyes filled with tears... i almost shed a tear because all I could think is..... How did they get here???? How did this happen to these two people?? It was obvious they were so lost & miserable.. But somehow seemed so trapped... They were not born like this... It took about 30 years to get to this moment of time & space. I was mentally overwhelmed in my thoughts.. It just made me so sad.... then I thought about myself.... & every time I have a good excuse for not getting something done... or not reaching to be the best I can... Slacking here & there because its convenient. .... I think this is how it happens... one excuse at a time until finally one has totally excused themselves out of life. :( this was their song...... ):
