I do get dozens of requests for photos and information every week......I do try to sort out replies and action research to satisfy every demand......but they can pile up...and it does take time to deal with every request.......Stephen R McCormick asked me about photographs of Slans FC....Slans - a townland just beyond Cloughey - were the team that actually introduced competitive football to the Ards Peninsula..... I came across one photo of the team fairly quickly.....It dates right back to 1910.....over 100 years ago.....Obviously it does lack detail and sharpness....but here it is....a truly historic photo............
