I do not believe in stockpiling, however, I do believe in having a little extra on hand. It is not a lack of faith, to not have your family STOMPED to death at the grocery store as people fight over the last bit of food or water. It is however a lack of common sense (and brains) to use Matthew 6:34 as the verse to sit and do nothing. He promised that you would not have to WORRY. Another words, He will make sure one way or another, that you have your needs met! (Provision) It always amazes me the folks who use the the lack of faith verse are the very same folks who have health, home and life insurance. They also go to the doctors when they are ill, and the cellars when a tornado is headed their way! (just saying) Some folks say they do not have enough funds to buy a little extra. I would beg the question...is this after cable, cell phones, vacations, jewelry, makeup, sports channels {or tickets) cigarettes, beer, pop, Twinkies, 2 cars...I think you get my point. If you really cannot afford to put anything extra back, then guess what... you fall into the category of others helping you. That is how it is suppose to work! Example...children, elderly, disabled, widows, and the poor (not lazy people) You might be surprised that oats, beans, potatoes, flour, water, and toilet paper, will not break the bank! Some folks say they do not like those foods. Well, I hate to be the one to deliver the bad news to ya, but God fed them manna for 40 years in the wilderness. Just because He promised to take care of you, doesnt mean that you will be eating steak and McDonalds every night. Good grief people. Do your best, trust God and love others. You will be fine. But please do not just sit back and wait until you find there is no food, water etc.. It doesnt take much, and most crisiss are over within a reasonably amount of time (most, not all). Sandy...
