I do not condone the restriction of our UTOPIA expanding to new citys. I use computers daily, and would love to be able to have UTOPIA so I could start my own Home Business, Currently with the providers I have, they cannot and or will not give me enough upload to make that dream possible, I am actually moving to Brigham City just so I can get it. If you run this bill further I will vote you out of office in the coming elections. The State of Utah is all about Industry, but that industry must have rules, and the rules that you are interposing harm the everyday citizen like me, and makes it harder to get by, we need technological advancement in our state, and our state is so close to being the leader/pioneer in a Open-Access infrastructure, If Comcast/Century Link/Digis want to use it thats fine, if not they they should stay out of politics, if they dont want competition, then they should just join the UTOPIA network, they could save operational costs of having to run their own system. UTOPIA is not this big bad wolf its been made out to be by the telecom industry, and industry should NOT be running our government or influencing our local law, they see UTOPIA as a threat to their business, if they provided what we pay for then UTOPIA would not be a threat. I say these things because in London you can get 10-Gbps fiver line for less than $60.00 USD equivalent, the service providers have been screwing us for a long time, they need to ether pay-up or get out!
