I do not have a disease. My brother has a disease. Name one disease where you have a CHOICE to fully recover! There are none! If a cancer patient chooses to take chemo, that still does not guarantee full recovery....same with diabetes, hypertension, pneumonia, etc..... To believe addiction is a disease is to fall for the lies of the enemy. He wants us to believe we cant be cured to keep us in bondage. If you believe in the Bible, it plainly states addiction is a sin. Now dont get me wrong. I dont believe we chose to become addicts, but we did choose to first get high. Im not condemning anyone here. I just want people to know that YOU CAN OVERCOME ADDICTION!! Period. This will touch some nerves, I know, & thats okay. I believed the disease concept for a short while....& thats what I needed to believe at that time to stay clean & if thats what you need to believe, thats okay. I love you all. I just want to spread hope. Thats it. I have overcome addiction. And if you do believe the disease concept, do you believe God heals?? God can do anything, but He cant heal you from addiction?? YES HE CAN!! You dont have to believe it, but its true. God loves you & wants you well. We are all children of God. God Bless Yall.
