I do not know if the technological apparatus and extensions of mind are capable, but odds are the hierophanic possession of "higher mind" and ecstatic creativity will still be possible in this age, where the human being is dispossessed of his individuality and spread thin across the icons and images of our screens and networks; the Angel is still capable of incarnation. And the scary thought is: perhaps this is what the metamorphosis looks like; the blending and blurring of biology and technology making strange new possibilities a reality, strange new incarnations of intelligences, made of light and sound and previously unheard in our realm, now displayed across our "electric lattices." A strange world, indeed. One wonders if these technological extensions are capable of housing larger realms of Mind previously only available in dream and revery. Is this what the evolution of consciousness has in store for us? What do we make of the swaths of problems that now present us? Are we seeing, at first, an "outering" of the animistic psyche, before angelic incarnations can take place? The modernist Self is deconstructed, like Osiris, dismembered across cyberspace. Will the celestial twin take shape in the re-membering of the human being in the digital age? Serious question. Perhaps the most pertinent inquiry of my integral studies.
