I do not normally LIKE spending for new movie releases. I recently caught a low priced flick at the Beacon Theater. My Son was cooped up too long because of the Summer break. A $7.50 ticket can be bought if one reaches the front window by 5:00 pm. I had on mind seeing one of Dinesh DSouzas creations, but what we wound up with, was because of having to make a decision between only a few choices within a short time-span, in order to get the discounted ticket prices. What we saw, I would have never gone to see because of any advertisement- I dont think.... Go? See.. The: Purge Anarchy is the ((( 1 ))) we SAW. Is this the 2nd one of these- thats been delivered to the public at large? What on earth, I only wonder could the 1st one of these things have had going on in it !? The: Purge Anarchy is a (((good/bad))) movie. If being entertained by the Box Office is someones god, this show would definitely fit the bill. On the other hand.. If somebody LIKES viewing flicks in order to capture the Creative qualities, Imagination and Overall Philosophy of film lands strategically=>$ placed Directors? Its a good one. Why did I say it was good/bad? Well.. I sat what seemed to me to be half way through thinking, why did I come? Slowly, slowly this one builds up on you. I sat not only on the edge of my seat, but all over that seat. I squirmed! How much can I tell you and youd still go see this one? It starts out in like a Huddle House type of a place. You see several patrons paying with old frayed up U.S. dollars. The phrase, be safe is heard over and over as people are scampering about to get away from their places of employment, and make it home. Its sometime off in the future. An idealized fictional account is rendered forth here where the United States has suspended present Constitutional Government the way its presently known. Theres new Founding Fathers whove claimed theres too many people living who use off of the system, and hence render themselves to become necessarily removed from existence. One day each year is set aside in March, where from around 6:30 pm, till 7:30 am, all forms of criminal activity are legally sanctioned for citizens to come out and ((( PURGE )))... This is the (((bad))) I spoke of earlier. This is the Good/Bad Movie. I have a question. Has this Director simply used a masterful, suspenseful talent in attempts of capturing mucho deniro? Or? Are there stealthily and skillfully political implications implanted within the plot? The purge thats heard people mentioning over and over again definitely seems to have some status connotations involved. Theres a class differentiation involved with the people. It seems to suggest that lower level economic ones of society are deemed useless or just in the way of the culture. The film also does contain some racial negative aspects. But! Looking deep into the psyche of the writers, one can find some perhaps uncommon positive intermingled mini-plots, concerning the racial aspect. Therein lies great irony. Ill give a hint: {are people always who there thought to be?} Most of the movie takes place in a big city. Most of its at night. People have hurried home and barricaded themselves in very tightly. Radios and televisions blare official broadcasts cautioning nation wide the fact of the purge shortly beginning. There is also a distinct nationalistic connotation exhibited by numerous individuals. the PURGE, they say, is good for America! At this point I couldnt help but think of road kill.... Yeah. You know. Youre driving along and all of a sudden you quickly swerve, just missing a big old possum thats been mashed half flat the previous evening. You murmur under your breath, one more of those ugly looking things gone! Thank goodness... Theres more... A godly quality also shrouds allot about what the purge stands for.. And Im thinking the gun is part of the idea here. Have they put arms up as being quasi god-like? Does it seem to idolize weaponry? You know. As if a gun could be a god? I wonder about the writers and producer. Wow! `magnificent... Clint Eastwood? Buddy? Eat your heart out! Will this flick transcend what Clint said? Make my day... One so called purger whos a retired army sergeant suits up. The yearly purge is just about to begin. Hes holding a 12 month old personal grudge against a fella that drove while intoxicated, into the sarges Son, rendering him dead. Ill not spill the beans here though because if you happen to make this flick? See if you get it at the ending? Okay... I could go on and on. its that GOOD/BAD! You may have heard the saying, A PICTUREs WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS... Go? See it.. .. .. https://youtube/watch?v=XzFCDqKE4yA
