I do not support any use of nuclear power. Our species is fraught with immaturity, deep seated madness, and bias thicker and wider than the Pacific. The fact the nuke industry builds on known earthquake faults and has no clue how to actually dispose of spent rods and other irradiated stuff proves we are not old enough to handle nukes. Five new nuke plants came on line in 2014, and one was decommissioned. We will never know the actual number of accidents and near accidents the industry experienced. The tale of the Lungmen Nukes in Taiwan is typical of nuclear energy - built in a quake area and then because of the over run costs and environmentalists the project is on hold pending a public referendum. The govt. in April 2014 halted all construction and is in the process of sealing the other nukes there - it takes years to contain a nuclear energy plant. In the case of Chernobyl - containment has taken decades and is still on-going. Then there is the mess in Japan.
