I do not want to wait until heaven to realize what was truly - TopicsExpress

I do not want to wait until heaven to realize what was truly important in this life. We think we know, but the amount of time we are not distracted by lesser realities is far smaller than we want to admit. We faithfully feed our fears, anxiety, stress, disappointments, rejection, and bitterness like a kennel full of guard dogs. We exhaust ourselves fulfilling the expectations and the perceived expectations of others, and call the emptiness we feel godly sacrifice. What is real, what is life, what is truly good, comes from being with Jesus. Its that simple and that profound. The moment I forget my invitation to live from His presence, I make myself god of my own life, and I have found that I suck at that. What would your life be like if it was your first instinct to see yourself, every person, every circumstance, every moment, from Gods perspective? What would change in your relationships? What would work look like? What would your thought life become? Who would you be?
