I do realise that another photograph of The Forum in Moat Lane will generate a fair amount of ire amongst some of our members. I can sympathise with their views and agree about some of their concerns (e.g. parking) but can also understand some of the reasons behind the councillors decisions. My view is that at this stage of construction it is difficult to envisage what the building will look like when completed and that only time will tell whether the building will work or be appreciated by the town. Im sure that many will disagree and they are very entitled to their opinion! Construction of The Forum has now reached the stage when the framework of the roof has been started. On the ground floor the library is really beginning to take shape and what I presume will be council chamber is apparent of the top floor. The tube-like feature I would think is for air extraction - Is the architect trying to make a statement about where he thinks most hot-air will be generated?
