I do want to have discussion on this page. I am all for that. But I prefer to put it in and context of betting and handicapping. When JK Shesalady last raced at WEG, I mentioned that I didnt see her as the lock she was before. Before that, I could not see anything touching her, and she basically jogged under wraps and took them at her will when Yannick pushed the button. But its a long season, and I suspected she was getting tired. I still think she is or will end up being one of the greatest mares ever. Time will only tell on that. Lots can happen. But they almost all get beat. While she did win fairly easy in her last WEG start, she wasnt as strong coming to the finish as before. She didnt get beat that night, and I didnt bet against her either. But, Yannick not taking her as a lock and wanting to wait to see the entries come out is a sign to me that he thinks that she is beatable now. That presents a betting opportunity, as she still will likely be the heavy chalk with Tetrick on her. And for sure, she could still win, and is the favorite. But I see an overlay on something else likely, much in the same way Sportswriter got beat at the end of his 2 year old season. I will be looking over this race carefully looking for that overlay.
