I do wish Topsail High School would fix their your child was absent today message. For over a year now, if my child has missed a class, I get an automated call that says: Hello. This is Whitney. September 22, 2014. First of all, my child doesnt need to call me. Im sitting in the next room. Secondly, its not my child calling. Third, Im aware of the date. And lastly, what the heck is this call for??? Did she win a Pulitzer? Has she received a full - ride scholarship? Did she tell you this morning that she felt I would need to know the date at approximately 6:45pm? I have to wonder who these ppl teaching my child are and if theyre minutely capable of teaching if they cant even program an automated message! Come on guys! Youve got a school full of teenagers that could probably program nuclear warheads if they came in the form of a cell phone. Cant you get one of them up there to fix your silly little automated message? ??
