I dont always know the personal stories of the people I photograph, but when I do...even just a little, the picture becomes so much more powerful to me. Its in these moments of disbelief, staring into this computer monitor at the truth, captured in a split second of time...that it all becomes worth it. There is no better feeling than knowing that you have helped someone along their road...that you became part of their story for a brief moment. I have to be the luckiest person alive :)
