Whether or not you agree that blackface has a very real and recent history, is strongly connected with whites mocking blacks for whites entertainment, that whites *never stopped using it for minstrel-esque performances*, and whatever else, at the very least you must concede that black people using whiteface when dressing up as white people is not a thing, whereas white people using blackface when dressing up as black people is. You must concede that there is no history of black people using whiteface for costumes, which is probably why black people dont jump to using it. At the very least, you should question why white people use blackface, but black people dont use whiteface. Think its a gigantic coincidence? Because its not.
