I dont care if youre Arminian, American Baptist, Roman Catholic, or one of the myriad of conformist Calvinists, any degree of righteousness conditioned upon the sinner is in Gods view, dung (phil 3). Judging by some of the comments and posts Ive seen in this group, there is definitely some dung harvesting going on around here. If you think the sinner can obtain a righteous standing with God by turning from his sins and trusting in Jesus, then you are a dung harvester. All your sacrifices of worship to God reek of self righteousness. If you think the gospel is the good news of what Jesus death can do for you if you choose to turn from your sins and trust Him, then you are a dung harvester. The one and only true gospel is NOT the news of what Christ MIGHT do for YOU if repent and believe. Rather, the one and only true gospel is the good news of what Christ HAS ACCOMPLISHED for HIS PEOPLE. Gods law demands the death of all who disobey. Christ satisfied this righteous requirement of the law on behalf of those He unconditionally chose for salvation from before the foundation of the world. For you to insist He satisfied this requirement for everyone and yet some still die, because they did not choose to repent and believe means youre a dung harvester. To insist His satisfaction of the laws righteous requirement needs something from you in order to activate it means youre a dung harvester. To insist dung harvesters are righteous but just ignorant means youre a dung harvester. No compromise.
