I dont care what white people think of me. I dont care if white people think Im cool or if they agree with my politics. I dont care if they like my poetry. I dont care if they think Im doing good work. I dont care if you like beyonce. I dont care if youd date a black person. I dont care if youve visited Africa or that youve never said the N-Word. I dont care if youd let me in your school. I care about the widening wealth gap that is a direct result of centuries of oppression which effectively diminished any chance that Black People could amass wealth, create self-sufficient communities/various other institutions. Until people begin to seriously talk reparations we will all be content with a nation that smiles while its hands are in our pockets. No matter how it ends up working for you, individually, understand how this system is set up against Black people, structurally. Yall see they out here murdering us in the streets but can yall see how they keep us starving in every way imaginable? This aint about feelings. I dont care if you like or dislike Black people. This nation NEEDS to respect Black lives. We face death from multiples sources. We have no choice, but to resist.... If we dont, theyll say we asked for it.
