I dont complain about the heat during the summer but being cold is for the birds! I used to really enjoy Fall until I acquired allergies and now have a son whos lungs still cant handle a simple cold. If anyone could do something for me tonight it would be for parents to stop and say a little prayer thanking God for your healthy children. Give thanks for the opportunities you have to take your kids to the park, the pumpkin patch, the apple orchard... And if you havent done it yet this Fall, do it! Just because you can. And by the way, this is by no means a pity party plea... You wont get that from this girl. Because one day Mickey will be a lot stronger and I will be dragging his little butt all over town doing all these things. We still have so many firsts to look forward to! I love thinking about that. It makes these sucky times a little more bearable. Until then Ill keep sending up my thanks for Vicks, albuterol, modern medical equipment and strong coffee. It could ALWAYS be worse.
