I dont do this nearly as much as I should but feel the need to brag on my staff... While I was out of town with the Sheriffs Dept on Monday a lady came by our office. Having recently lost her house to fire and in need of a place to stay Martha King Citty, Brady Harmon & Nikki Chandler took it upon themselves to give her enough money for three nights stay at a hotel. Whether its coming out in the middle of the night due to a suspect wearing a gps monitor who is actively breaking a no contact order (Brad Mayhüe) or spending hours helping an addict get in to the appropriate rehab facility (Connie Volz) they are always going above & beyond with everything they do to help those in need while protecting the public. Yes that was a run-on sentence. I couldnt stop! Lol - Its not for the money. Derrick Barnes could make a lot more being a full time preacher so I believe they have each been called to the good work they are doing. Derrick should get paid extra for having to counsel his co-workers & I! Long story short I have been blessed with a great staff & we are losing one of our family members. Nikki has worked part time with us as she completed her college education, married a great guy (Ben) and had her third child. Busy Girl! She will always be part of the family and we wish her luck with her new career!
