I dont do this often, but once again some meathead, made to believe hes overly important since junior high suckhole piece of sh*t of an athlete has brought to light just how out of focus we are as a society. Ray Rice cant play football for now. Roger Goodell got it wrong the first time. The NFL has a tougher policy on domestic violence . . . and the list goes on. The world is focused on all of these things that dont mean sh*t in the grand scheme of things. The problem here has nothing to do with f-ing ESPN or football or Ray Rices sorry ass. The problem is that the real issue in this case (and sadly countless cases) is buried as a mere footnote in most of the articles people are reading today. Here it is: Rice was originally charged with third-degree aggravated assault and was accepted into a pretrial diversion program that will allow the charges to be dismissed if he completes it. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!?? A DIVERSION PROGRAM!!!! The problem has to do with the fact that although the NFL may not have had that video (well see), seemingly the prosecution did; or at the very least should have made damn sure they saw it before they cut a plea agreement with this assbag. When I watch that video, the last damn thing that comes to my mind is what that scumbag does for a living or what his employer may render upon him as a consequence. I think of my family and if a loved of of mine were the victim, how it must feel to watch this loser walk out of court knowing the charges will eventually be dismissed. Wake up America. Domestic violence is a serious problem with deadly consequences. An alarming majority of the offenses arent reported. But hey, why would you report it when you have the threat of coming home to a quality human being like Ray Rice; who regardless of his employment status . . . is a free man. A free man whos world came crashing down on him this morning who still lives with the woman he knocked unconscious who he then convinced to speak in public of her regret for her role in what happened in that elevator. Those facts make me nervous for that woman and for all women who face this type of abuse; far from the eye of the public. Today the country is more worried about what the NFL is doing about the Ray Rice problem than what is being done to protect these victims. Scary how easily the media diverts so many from free thought.
