I dont frequent Reddit as I find it can sometimes be a little soul-sucking. As many of the members might have seen ATGN has posted up a link to the recent article that Jason and myself was a part of: reddit/r/boardgames/comments/2fvatp/wanna_learn_more_about_making_a_board_game_and/ There were many positive comments but also a few very negative ones. This has got me thinking about reddits influence over Kickstarter Campaigns. A couple active reddit discussions happened during our campaign. As always, many were positive and a few were very negative. Regardless we saw a boost in backer conversions originating from reddit. So it seems that reddit is a very effective social platform for campaigns. Im not a frequent reddit user so I wonder if its worthwhile to participate in discussions surrounding your game or campaign, or is the stress and possibility of the community turning on you simply not worth it?
