I dont get many complaints in Amazon Kindle reviews of my crime novels, but the most frequent crib is that they are too violent This is in a world where small children are regularly being blown to pieces, and in one week 35 New Year revellers got crushed to death in China, a man was chopped to death with an axe in a British pub, a woman was shot to death by her two-year-old toddler in a supermarket, and eleven refugees were burned to death on a ferry, among many other deaths too numerous and too horrible to mention. But maybe the critics are right. i NEED TO TONE THINGS DOWN. My next book is going to involve a really aggressive pillow-fight and lots of innocent people being attacked by the mysterious water-pistol squirter. There is also a baffling climactic chapter in which somebody farts in a locked room. Im going to call it GAS WHO?
