I dont get on and preach about religion but I am going to start. - TopicsExpress

I dont get on and preach about religion but I am going to start. I do not pretend to be perfect...way far from it...actually the total opposite. I am grateful for the agency we have all been given and trust me, I have flexed my agency. I respect everyone elses right to choose for themselves, too. I do not think that right should be taken away. I will support that right until the day I die. Everyone must choose for themselves. In the past I have not had my whole heart behind church. In my youth knowing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was (and still is) true and just not wanting it to be (because then I would have to give up experiences that I wanted to have) not understanding completely what my Heavenly Father had in store for me, wondering why bad things happen to good people and why some trusted church members would go out of their way to attack me by making me feel like I was trash. Thinking that people who arent members of the church wouldnt respect me or accept me for my beliefs, especially if I couldnt back it up with big descriptive explanations. After reading this (article below) I want to take a stand. I do know the Book of Mormon is true, for all the reasons Greg outlines below but first and for most because I have read it and felt the overwhelming warmth it has brought to my soul. I am so grateful to have this book and read it as often as I choose. I know that Jesus Christ will come again and I definitely want to be on His side, not on the fence and not against Him. The gospel principles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are true and living by them can and will only make me (you and the rest of the world) better. As for the people of His church, we are all imperfect. I wouldnt put me above anyone, member or not. We all have different struggles, challenges and obstacles to overcome because we are supposed to turn to Him and rely on Him for help and guidance. I know that we are all daughters and sons of God. We would do well to stop judging each other and show unconditional Christlike love towards one another a little more. Jesus Christ is the way. He knows the sufferings of each of us, personally. He took upon the sins of the world and through His atonement we can all live with God and Him again. Through the proper priesthood authority, we can be cleansed of our sins, healed, blessed, sealed to our families forever, and so much more. The Book of Mormon was written for us, so we can learn from the past and have communication with our Heavenly Father and get answers for our questions today, tomorrow and throughout the eternities. I encourage everyone to read this book and feel the Holy Ghost testify to you of its authenticity and value.
