I dont get too bothered by trolls in this group because the admins - TopicsExpress

I dont get too bothered by trolls in this group because the admins are great at flushing them like the turds that they are. (Not long after I joined, I found myself enmeshed in a few situations, caught in a web, but unbeknownst to me I had back-up; I am the Billy Goat Gruff when it comes to Trolls, but the admins can do so much more better than me.) I love that there are people in this group who are fans of and have been inspired by Bill Hicks, but had no idea how much more there was. I love that there are people here who perhaps had heard of but didnt know about him and are here to learn more about him. I encouraged one person of the first ilk to join and, although I did not recommend him here nor coerce him into joining, he did, was accepted, and I only found out when he liked a comment I made here. I know of another who joined simply to learn more about what I was saying about life, love and laughter. The gift that Bill Hicks bestowed upon me, that of laughter, is one that I like to share. I have noticed they observe us silently, those two goat-children of mine, but they may gain confidence and pipe up. (I hope they do, because they are precious, gregarious and hilarious people.) What was my point? I digressed. My next point was to do with a tightening up of the screening process. This is, I may be wrong, an Open Group. It is a Bill Hicks fan page, but Im not sure how much of an expert I feel people should need to be to join. Personally, being a twisted guy, I would send UK applicants a link to Purple Rain, and see if they recognise the connection. For US/Canada fans, Freebird? There could even be a What Would Bill Say (WWBS) kind of a thing, where scenarios are suggested and responses analysed. Probably too far, because I found this group by chance, applied, was accepted and havent looked back. I suppose I should summarise by saying that no screening process will filter out bacteria and viruses. Some pollution of our sweet air is almost inevitable. (My farts only smell like roses to my baby brothers, who are Cocker Spaniels.) But I really enjoy being a part of this group, where I have found that I have more than a few kindred spirits. In conclusion, this is not a peaceful place always, a log cabin in the wilderness is boring, and Ive made my choice.
