I dont have a great relationship with my parents. My father was hardly ever around and my mother chose to leave me alone at nights so she could get her party phase out of her system. Sometimes I get emotional when I think about how old they are and how old Im getting, and how we dont have much time left. And how I want to tell them so many things but theres nothing to say. We dont discuss our problems like the families on TV. We tolerate each other because we have to. I want to be more connected with them, but thats been proven impossible. Theres just nothing there inside me. Im just an uneven canvas that they took turns destroying. When you abandon your kids and say terrible things to them growing up, theyll remember. They always remember, doesnt care how young they are. It affects them. It affected me.
