I dont have time to write a full review, sadly, so here goes: Captain America: The Winter Soldier. 20. George St. Pierre as Batroc the Leaper is perfect casting. I love seeing lesser known villains on film and portrayed with respect. I am wondering why the hardcore fanboys arent complaining that he didnt have his purple and gold costume though. =p 19. You dont really need to see the first Cap film to enjoy this one. The Russo brothers and all the writers are brilliant at sneaking in believable ways to fill in the past for the audience. 18. Jules Winfield walked the Earth, then became a soldier and changed his name to Nick Fury. Seriously. 17. This film is sneaky, and you will be surprised. 16. If you know about story arcs from the last few years, youll have an idea of what is most likely being cooked up for the next Cap installment at Marvel studios. 15. Chris Evans continues to bring Captain America to life in ways the comics never could. 14. Anthony Mackie proves that no one wants a sidekick, but they do want an equally badass and hilarious partner. His wings are so incredibly cool. 13. Stephen. Strange. =) 12. This film continues the trend of connecting Captain America to Iron Man. It fills in a story hole that you didnt know was there. It makes me constantly think of the Civil War story which, with the addition of and possibilities created by #3 and the events of #2, is a plausible conclusion at some point down the line. 11. Robert Redford is a stellar addition to the cast. It may just be me because Ive seen him in a lot of his older movies, but he adds a lot to ground the story. 10. Its a perfect mix of political thriller, spectacular action, and character study. 9. It makes me want a joint Black Widow/Hawkeye origin film called Budapest even more. 8. Its funnier than almost all other Marvel films, and it doesnt suffer from its comedy, like Iron Man 2 and 3. 7. I love how Black Widow is equally as important as Cap is in this film. Once again, she proves that despite not having powers, she can hold her own against anyone. 6. The fight scenes are INCREDIBLE. The way theyre shot always leaves you wanting more. Cap goes on a rampage with his shield, The Winter Soldier is terrifyingly cool with his bionic arm, and I will want to get in a fight every time I am in an elevator now. 5. THE WINTER SOLDIER. OH MY GOD. 4. You get everything you loved about the first Cap film and a whole lot more. 3. The Twins.
