I dont have to tell you how much pain we are all in over the loss - TopicsExpress

I dont have to tell you how much pain we are all in over the loss of our pet. But there are some people out there who take pleasure in adding to our grief and Im going to tell you about one of them. This woman lives in Tallahassee, Florida and uses Craigs List to pounce on her victims with no regard for our feelings. On August 25, 2013, I lost my 14 yr. old Yorkshire Terrier Max, who is very sickly, blind and partially deaf. He wandered off while we were not watching and has been gone since. Even with all our efforts, we have not been able to locate him and bring him back home. On the 6th of September, we received a phone call from a woman (calling herself Rebecca and claiming that she doesnt want to get involved nor does she want the reward offered) in Tallahassee, Florida, who claimed to know where Max was and that he was caged in a shed and was very sick and might not make it through the night. She gave us the address where we could find him and was even crying on the phone, telling my husband to hurry before its too late to save him. My husband (80 yrs old) drove 70 miles to Tallahassee and called the Sheriffs office to go with him to the address she gave him. When the Sheriff arrived to meet my husband, he was told that it was a scam and that this woman has done this before (she gets her information from Craigs List postings) because she is upset with one of her neighbor who is running a legitimate dog shelter for missing and stray dogs. The sheriff said that they cannot catch her because her phone is blocked from your caller ID and she always gives a phoney name with each call she makes. After some intense research, I found her and I want to share this information with all of you. Her real name is Cynthia and she lives in Tallahassee. Appears that she gets her kicks out of doing this to grieving pet owners .... I will post this alert weekly, so no one else falls victim to her scam and would like the help from all of you who are grieving for their pet to do the same. She must be stopped anyway we can . . . Appreciate you reading this, thank you.
